Flying Lessons

I have felt like I've been in a sort of funk this week. I made a commitment to my creative self that I would go the distance by taking a 12 month journey into my soul via Creative Awakenings. I even signed up for Kelly Rae Roberts' e-course called Flying Lessons.

Flying Lessons is a 5 week course designed to encourage artists to take steps in moving forward to realize their dreams about their art. I signed up nearly 3 weeks after it started. "So you're late, big deal. You can do this, you must do this" said one of the creative whispers of my inner cheering committee. Where has she been this week?

I hear my creative whispers telling me to read, learn, and read some more. The more I do, the louder my Venomous Toad Committee screams as if to drown out those positive voices that tell me “you can do it.” I know I am simply bumping up against a mind created boundary that is not impenetrable and will actually expand the moment I step beyond it. That is a remarkable thing.

Hi Kitty,

Boy,isn't that quote the truth! I found the following excerpt at Claudia's blog Dipity Road..You must visit her if you haven't before..such a nice lady.

I'm sure you are familiar with Marianne Williamson??

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.” Marianne Williamson

Thanks so much for the kind comments about my studio. It has been a long journey to finally have all of my stuff organized. Plus the wonderful fact that I'm not ever moving again..and that's a profound comment from a lady that has traveled for 50 years of her almost 52 years of living. :0) What a great feeling it is. ♥

I think I shall print out this excerpt from Marianne and read it every time I question "will someone buy this creation" or "is it complete and as perfect as I want it to be?"...just all those vampires that want to slow me down and cast a shadow on "My Light".

I look forward to seeing you transform your room into a studio...it truly is a spiritual experience...just wonderful for the creative soul to have this special space.

Have a wonderful day, Kitty...and thanks so much for visiting with me.

Oh..here is Claudia's blog link:

She has a link up each Friday but you can do it for days beyond that...for anything that you find to be beautiful..your paper dolls are surely beautiful and I'm sure the other people that link to this would love to see them. :0)
