For the first time in my adult life, I put one of my beloved companions of 16 years to his final rest this past Wednesday. I thought I would be able to handle putting up a Pink Saturday post this week in spite of it all but I am just not up to it. I apologize to Beverly who works so hard in putting this together for us but I know she understands and I hope you will too. I will have some thoughts to share about what I have learned about this experience but I will save it for a later time. For now, I'll share a photo of my surviving kitty. Obviously she is not pink but she is keeping me in the pink during this difficult time.

Dear Kittie Kellie, I am sooo sorry for your lost...Its actually a year this weekend I had to put my kittie Wiggins down he was 14...its like losing a child they become so much of your life that its truely hard when anything happens...unfortunately I had to do it three times last year (Mz. Chili 16, Winnie the Pooh 15 & Wiggins Too 14) I missed them dearly but I do have two boyz here with me Toby McBee & Wheezer Emerald they are two terriers & boy are they terrors...

my heart breaks for you..just had to do this with my beloved Otis...have done it with 4 other beloveds It is not an easy thing to do,but it takes so much love. Let yourself mourn and cry and also keep the happy memories closeby for comfort. Knowing that you have friends who care brought great comfort to me..and I hope it brings comfort to you. Ann
